Improving your Neighbourhood Centre

We’re renovating! Over the coming year we will be planning and preparing for some much-needed upgrades to our Centre.

These will include:

• · Integrating the toilets into the building
• · Making the accessible toilet compliant with disability access legislation
• · Increasing the office space
• · Improving capacity to supervise children (part of our childcare provision)
• · Increasing activity space

We will be making sure the renovations are shaped by our community and are seeking community involvement.

Information about our venues and how to arrange hire is provided below.

HALL

The Hall is the old Maldon Presbyterian Church and boasts many beautiful original features, including leadlight windows and timbered ceiling, and double doors opening out to the old oak tree at the front of the Centre, and to the community garden on the other side of the hall.

It is perfect for workshops, rehearsals, exercise classes and celebrations, and seats a maximum of 60 people in theatre-style seating.

 

CLASSROOM

The Classroom features wall-mounted whiteboard and LED television that doubles as a data projector. The classroom comfortably seats 10 people in boardroom-style seating.

COMMUNITY GARDEN gATHERING SPACES

The community garden, solar pergola (ideal for outdoor workshops) and pizza oven are available for hire - perfect for catered al fresco events. Trestle tables and chairs are available.
